Every year, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) travels to Las Vegas to introduce thousands of attendees to the latest and most innovative technologies. This past January, tens of thousands of guests showed up to the event to see what the biggest brands in the tech industry had to offer. Many brands used their time at CES to introduce new cell phone accessories. We’ve rounded up a list of the top trends in cell phone accessories that we saw at the 2017 CES event: Upgraded Cell Phone Cases There were countless new cell phone cases at the CES event this year, but these were unlike any other cell phone case currently on the market. Rhinoshield introduced a line of new cell phone cases that offer extra protection to phones. In fact, the company promises that this new line of cases can protect your phone from an 11-foot drop! The new Rhinoshield cases come in a variety of fun colors and designs, so you don’t have to sacrifice style in order to protect your phone. The new mJoose case will help you extend your battery life by 100%, but that’s not all it can do. It also claims to reduce RF radiation by 70% and boost your phone’s connection by 100%. This is one of the first cell phone cases that has claimed to boost a cell phone’s signal, so it will be interesting to see how well it performs on the market and whether it lives up to its expectations. iFace, which is a Japanese brand, is entering the U.S. market with its First Class cell phone case. According to attendees at the event, this case will fit in your hands perfectly because of its soft edges and curves. It also has a cutout for you to attach a lanyard to so you can wear it around your neck and carry it with you wherever you go. But, the real show-stopping feature of this case is what’s hidden inside. Each case has a hidden metal plate that you can use to secure your phone on a magnetic car mount. The iFace case comes in a variety of colors, and is compatible for iPhones and various Samsung models. Photo and Video Gadgets Smartphones are designed to keep us connected to each other, but many people also use them to take selfies and stream videos. There were a few new accessories introduced at the CES event this year that will help people fine tune their photography and videography skills. First, there was the Olloclip Core Lens Set, which attaches onto the top of your smartphone. This accessory promises to deliver unmatched image quality, and gives customers the option of taking photos with fisheye, super-wide or macro 15x lenses. Olloclip also introduced the Pivot, which is an accessory that makes filming videos while on the move much easier. Simply place your phone inside the grip, and hold onto the handle as you film. The accessory provides 225 degrees of rotation so you can film from practically any angle. Lumee also introduced a new cell phone case at this year’s event. This brand has already established itself in the tech accessory industry. Celebrities have praised Lumee cases because they provide the perfect lighting to take flawless selfies. But, their old designs only had lighting on one side of the case. This year, Lumee introduced a new case that now features professional quality lighting on both the front and the back of the case, so you can take glamorous selfies with either camera. Hands Free Accessories Have you ever scrambled to find your ringing phone in the bottom of your purse? Or been unable to answer the phone because you don’t have a free hand to do so? The Pinn Bluetooth device was designed with these situations in mind. Clip the device onto your collar, belt loop, or even your jacket and wear it throughout the dat. The LED screen will show you if someone is calling or texting, and if you need to answer a call, remove the ear device from the clip and start your conversation. The Pinn device also works with Siri, so you can issue voice commands without ever taking your phone out of your purse or pocket.
